    What's an IGCSE?

No exams for me, I'm thankfully past all that!

Edit: I was looking to top-up my HNC to a degree this year, but I'm not able to do it without going to classes (can't do due to work commitments), so boo to that!

    Very funny :p
The careers department proudly announced that previous graduates have gone onto Halfords, Travelodge and Pets At Home. There are good jobs, it's just finding them.

Did anyone else find there A-Levels much tougher than their finals at uni? Granted I only had two exams when I did my finals due to cunning module selection and not needing to pass one of the modules (so I didn't sit the exam).

But my point is, when it came to my finals it was the first time I felt confident I knew exactly what I needed to, which turned out to be a first in one exam and 3% shy in the other. Overall I was 1.2% off a first, was gutted at first, but since I've been working for 2 years I've found that not havin a first is often a benifit (deppending on the role of course, but when you are people facing/interacting with different departments, apparently people with 2.1s have better people skills) :D

I found the degree a lot easier too - it's to do with specialising though. By the time you get to your degree you can pick and choose what you want to do and develop a specialty, whereas at A-level you have to be more general and write about topics which you may not be strong on. At University I only passed my first year Psychology unit because I was able to specialise on topics of Gestalt psychology and human perception. Everything else I sucked at.

Microcomputer engineering I (practical), Java writen exam, Mathematics 1Q2, Energy Transport and Conversion, Electronic Circuit Design I, Electromagnetic Fields and Microcomputer Engineering 1 (Written Exam)

EM fields has alot of us worried, the rest should go pretty well, I only need about 50% on each paper because the coursework marks were fairly good, which takes the pressure off! Best of luck everyone! :thumb:

Its an international GCSE, basically a slightly harder GCSE, but without coursework.
