    BRB, moving to Bristol!

Really though, I wish I lived on the right side of the Irish Sea for this :(

Any chance you could give some additional information about the area?

Would be most useful to know things like regular living costs, what public transport is like in the area, quality of Internet services and other things that a local person could shed light on better than the minefield of contradictory Online information.

Colour me interested for teleworking third line. i'm looking for a third line post at the moment in life.

I work from home most of the time as it is if I'm not onsite, and can get to bristol quite easily for whenever that's needed.

:thumb: Thanks for all of that detailed information on the area Zoon, it's most helpful having a good idea of the area.

I'm rather interested in throwing my name into the pot for a second line support/analyst role.

I've been looking at jobs in my area in those types of positions but due to the continually degrading transport infrastructure in Cornwall, it's a near impossible career to pursue when you don't drive. Though I'd definitely sort out a driving licence if I moved out of the area, it's just hardly affordable in Cornwall... even though it's quickly becoming a requirement of simply living in the area.

I am more than happy to put you forward mate. I will PM you an email address for a CV. I know they are most eager to fill the second line roles so it may work well for both sides.

Out of interest Zoon, who is your employer? (or are you not allowed to say?)

I can going to confirm that Bristol is a great place to live. You have all the advantages of a large city, but you're right next to the countryside, and the people are generally pretty friendly. Much friendlier than London at any rate ;)
I live closer to the center (just off Cheltenham Rd), and we have a four bedroom house, shared between five of us for £1500pm (in total). We also get the top Virgin broadband and it's plenty fast :)
Oh, and you're about two and a half hours from London on the train, and right on the junction between the M5 and M4.

One warning though, if you live near central Bristol then you'll have to get used to hills :)

Can't really say more because I don't want to publicly link this username to my real life identity; posting the vacancy under my name is necessary to give you trust that I'm not fake and stop the mods just deleting it as spam :)

Do you work in IT, phuzz? Tempt you to apply?

Fair enough, I'm the same way myself.
'fraid I'm quite happy with my job, it's a 20min walk from home :)

Slightly irrelevant, This would be a twenty minute walk too, one of my colleagues lives at the top end of Horfield off the numbered avenues area and he does the walk in that amount of time :) He is insanely fit though.
