    Hi,

I have just completed building a new PC and sadly for the time being only got a budget of £40 :wallbash: for a graphics card. i need it for some gaming although not lots because it is only cheap.

please can someone make some suggestions i have been searching for days and cant pick the correct one.

    thanks. :thumb:

I'm using an Asus ATi HD 5670 1GB DDR3, got it off amazon for £61 which is out of your price range however I regularly play Rage, MW3, Crysis 2, Portal 2 etc etc on pretty high detail levels and I'm yet to have a problem.

It's not worth skimping on a GPU, you'll only regret it when you have to fork out for a decent one in a few months.

No hope of getting anything new.
Your best bet is hoping one of the lovely folks here offers you a 8800/9800 vintage chip for P&P.

Otherwise look on ebay for a GTX260 or HD 4850.

    I run a 700 MHz GTX 460 1 Gb @ 900 Mhz, these are around £50 on ebay...

If you want something new your best bet would be a GT 240/440 1gb GDDR5, as those actually have decent performance at medium settings. Better would be to look for an 8800 or 9800 or GTX 260(all essentially the same card) on ebay, or the marketplace(you need 75 posts to get in there).

It might be the SE version, which is still worth more than 50, but significantly less than a true GTX 460.
