Planning on making a new gaming pc. I know how to put the parts together, what goes where and how to make it all come alive, however i'd like some input. What things have i not thought about, what should i keep in mind ect. And what do you think of this build? I'm aiming for about £1000, so it wont be top of the range, but is there anything here that i should get changed? I'd change the 570 to a Gainward one. Look for golden sample or phantom. I'd probably go for a 750w PSU and definitely not buy a 1TB drive until the prices come down. Also, I'd probably go back to P67 for the motherboard, they overclock better and you're not going to need the Z68's graphics. With the money saved from PSU and hard drive (just use a smaller one until the prices come down) get yourself a half decent SSD as a boot drive. Oh also, change the coolermaster cooler for a Dark Rock advanced or one of the watercooled loops (Corsair H60 etc). If you need more info let us know and I'll spec it up on Scan for you.
Yeah that PSU is way overpowered for that system (although I'm guilty of the same thing). A 650/700w will be fine. IMHO the MSI 570 you've chosen is a good choice. Also, how much is that 1TB F3 going to cost you? Given that hard drive prices are absolutely crazy at the moment, you might be better off buying a 120GB SSD and picking a normal HD up when they finally drop to normal levels again.

If you're a Student in any form of education you can get Windows 7 (32 or 64) at... http://www.software4students.co.uk for less than £40. It is the UPGRADE version so you'll need a legal copy of XP or Vista.
Thanks for the input guys. As for the HDD I've managed to fine a place with some cheap second hand ones that aren't too bad so i grabbed a 1TB for £60. Which is cheaper than the £120 for a new one. Also, I've been told that 800w would be enough to run the 570s in sli, is this right? Because if it is then I plan on hopefully buying a second 570 if/when they come down in price in the new year and running sli.
