Don't you just love the wonderful connected world.

How is it always Sony removing working features *cough*linux*cough*? It's no wonder they incur the wrath of hackers be it their movie studio or gaming division.

What is the reason for this, that has been given? I'm all in favour of removing/scalling back apps to keep hardware working well, but i'd imagine the youtube app would be better than going through a browser.

why remove something (youtube) from the system when its not part of the architecture and just another option for users? is there a licensing agreement that sony does not want to pay for anymore, that i can understand, but just removing it seems petty.

Probably just to do with YouTube removing Adobe support?

Poorly supported apps on Vita that are covered by most peoples phones though it is a strange move when you consider PS TV, that would probably benefit from youtube and a few other TV related applications like Netflix, Amazon etc, still a lot of people that don't have smart TV that oculd be convinced to buy a dinky little box if it had the right stuff.

I've never used any of those apps on my Vita. It's used for games and games alone, so all the additional stuff is pointless, with the exception of the PS Store.

Plus if you really want to, YouTube works in the Vita browser anyway.
