I need a new computer for the work room and decided to build the whole thing including the case from scratch; I was thinking that a case looking like a juke box and being water cooled might be fun especially as I am new to water cooling and this build screams out for it :D
Anyway I thought I would share the build with you here on the forum.

I'd like to say a thank you to Spreadie [IMG] for donating some fittings :thumb:, Also to g1lgamesh [IMG] the owner of Overclocking Technologies for the tube of IC7 TIM paste :thumb: Two more bt members have helped with this build so a big thank you to Carrie [IMG] who has donated a chunk of money to the build and a thank you to Big Elf [IMG] for the two pumps

Skill sets involved in this project will be

    -Milling
    -CNC work
    -Mould making
    -Glass slumping

The Case will be made from- Aluminium
    -Brass
    -Perspex
    -Glass

    Computer components

    -Asrock H61 MV-ITX
    -Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 1600mz Memory
    -Corsair TX650 PSU
    -Intel 2500k CPU
    GPU still to be decided

    Water cooling

    Yet to be decided
    ------------------------------------
I’m going to use 4mm thick aluminium for the case.

First I need to convert the pattern to gcode

Now get the CNC loaded and cutting:D

    And the result :D

    Yay!
Looks like you have some bumps in the shape. -Clamping? I really recommend my blue tape/glue/MDF sacrifice technique. Makes clamping soooooo easy.

Also. GLASS RESERVOIR !!!!! Do EEET!

    Thanks guys

I have a vacuum bed but sheets that size the clamps are better and there's no bumps that's how it is meant to be

You'll have to wait and see tbh a glass res would be difficult to say the least and heavy not that this case will be light

You got a Beijing Bullet too?

I particularly like the wiring diagrams pasted together from multiple manufacturers.

Good spindle tho.just waiting for the replacement 10mm Alu wasteboard for mine.

Yeah they are pretty good, had to think about the wiring lol they also make them with water cooling jackets tbh mine runs cool anyway, I have an aluminium bed with the screw inserts but I put a 6mm mdf waste board on top it's a lot cheaper to replace and I keep a spare one as a template for the holes for the screw inserts.

Just been thinking and talking the glass res over with the misses ( who is also a glass worker ) and tbh that would be bl**dy hard to make would have to be borosilicate glass because can't be done in the kiln so torch instead which we have but then threading it as well etc lol so no won't be using glass :nono:

Don't listen to Cheapskate. He whispers in your ear like the devil himself, tempting you with sweet modding visions that shatter as soon as you reach out to touch them, driving their splinters deep into your deluded, broken heart.

Many a modder has been ruined by the mirages he span before those damned souls, their fortunes wasted, their families abandoned, until they were mere hollow shells left crying desolately in the dust that was once their grand ambitions. Turn away from him now, I say, and listen no more to his smooth siren song. That way madness lies. Madness, I tell you!

That's the sweetest thing anyone has said about me EVER!
I imagine myself more as the sadistic gym coach that tries to urge you on a few more miles after puking your guts up.

There's a LOT that can be done with some clever silicone glue use. Instead of tapped holes, imagine a square-ish, (to keep twisting from breaking the seal,) hole with a 1/2" plexi port seated inside. No one said the whole thing had to be glass, but a clever use of blown glass could really be spectacular.

Intrigued by this build and really looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Teel, how tall is the case going to be? I'm thinking that those circular cutouts on the front piece might be for 120mm fans which would place the front panel at about 50cm, or am I miles off?

They are for the option of 120mm fans, the case will be 41cm H x 28cm W x 20.5cm D so you're not that far off
