    mounting the desk

    center the board

    achieve the upper opening

    create support for the glass

ok the base is ready :thumb:

    hello :)
the structure is ready, so we begin making some holes....

the goal is to integrate the fans

we want to integrate them into the board, we first prepare the framework fan

the etched parts is not a perfect circle because of the presence of LEDs....
therefore we must adapt the etched wood

    front and....

    back

    three suction fans
    three extraction fans

we can see that the future board will receive the motherboard ;)

    Hello :)
after installing the fans, we customize the grid
we take an aluminum plate we cut to the scroll saw
the first one with the Harley's logo

the second one with the name of the deskmod

    two grids, two plates :)

    we place spacers

to fix the plates on the grids

giving a little space between the plate and the grid to have a little relief

the two plates are in place :thumb:

but we will not leave the plates in raw aluminum
we will paint with copper metallized paint to remind the Copper Edition of the Harley

    the second one

We have a compartment in the desk that serves backstage
we will ventilate this compartment so we create two other grids based on a skull like Xray :D
    preparation on the plate

    and cutting

more easy to have the same cutting by sticking the two plates :)

there are ready to the painting

    same color :)

to avoid damaging the wood we use M3 type Inserts

    and voilà :)

    Hello :)
we begin to customize the hardware.
The first one is the motherboard

the yellow don't fit with my theme....
we fill the holes for future preparation

next, we take an acrylic plate for the metherboard's cover

    some cutting after...

    the cover is nearly finish

    sanding plate

we have changed your mind about the color of heatsinks and connectors
so we create another cover with a plate of alu

    cutting and bending...

Harley is generally equated with leather
    ok it is leatherette :)

    on the motherboard's cover

we put another alu plate on the edge

    one more for mosfets heatsink

    we polished all plates

    and also the chipset heatsink

    on the motherboard cover

Below, we place a LED strip

The I/O connector's cover receive also leatherette

    Hello :)
After the motherboard, we get the graphic card.
we begin with their backplate ...

    first cutting on the edge

we use a scroll saw to cut out the bike

two cut for two graphics cards

    more two other plates....

the first plates are painting in black

the other one are painting in Copper

we are taking spacers 5mm on the first plate

we set on the second plate

so we have an inverted relief effect

    Copper Edition Harley :)

    Two backplates are finished

Scroll saw? So you did not use any fancy cutting laser machines for that absolutely stunning work??

Then you have double thumbs up from me, my toes and my sub! :thumb: :thumb: :dremel:

    Hello Eucalyptus
yes I use Scroll Saw to make this cutting
    A Proxxon scroll saw:)
You can see the difference between the two backplates
On the left it is the firts cutting, on the right I put one bridge ahead the motor to facilitate the cutting
otherwise the engine had a tendency to bend under the blade

    thanks :thumb:

    hello :)

after the backplate, we continue on this graphic card...
    we take an aluminium plate

    some bending later....

    we are making some holes.

    on the two plates...

and other holes.... several holes more little on the edge!

    polishing....

and we put on the first one, a leatherette with Harley logo cutting

    we take this object....

    thin cord leather

some sewing to imitate the edges of Harley saddlebags

on the second one, no Harley logo...

    well... not entirely...
we bought the logo of the motorcycle model

we have drilled three holes for its implementation

we had to adjust the opening to permit the establishment of bits .... :duh:

    That's all right :thumb:

a little turn on 360° with the first graphic card

    and with the second too

Thank you for seeing my workblog :):):)

    hello :)

today we put some decorations on this deskmod...
we found this piece of plate waterproofing

    genial for the bike.... :D

its appearance makes us think of bitumen roads

we doing with the plotter stencil

    some white paint....

    and we remove the stencil

    on the road 66 :thumb:

    two holes above this road....

to fix the cousin of Xray :hehe:

    polish cousin....

we create an another 66 road more large....

    fixed on alu plate....

    for what....
we'll know that more later :D

    Hello :)

then, after motherboard and graphic cards, we do the hard disk ;)
No SSD.... yes but it is directly plugged on the motherboard : mSata SSD
So we begin with two alu plates

one is cut as a frame like this

the second is .... for more later :D
we pass on the third plate....

    we cut a skull....

    and a Maltese cross

after remove sticker on the frame.....

    we polish it :)

we do the same thing with the skull, removing tapes

    sanding, sanding... and polishing

and the Maltese cross... no way! we choose the skull :naughty:
    we take the second plate.

some leatherette but not the same of the motherboard's cover

    stuck on the plate

we stick the frame on top

    and we take the skull....

    but! finally no.....
my friend want we stick this Harley logo special anniversary edition :thumb:

    as he want :)

    another alu plate....

and special feet made with silentbloc

    cutting the plates

spotting the holes for fixation on hard disk

spotting the holes for the feet

    polishing.... :duh: why not :p

the inner face is covered with vinyl

then, we fix the hard drive

we put the faux leather on the edges of the hard disk

    and voilà :)

    soon ;)

Neat. :D Some good work, as always.
This bit bugs me, though. If you open up the gaps in the bent metal, you can sew the vinyl on the inside, and tuck the sewn part into the fold gap. The trick is to sew in turned inside out.
