Hi, Oliver (Nemesis) and I have this year participated at the annual German championship Casemod (DCMM), when was this year's theme: "Beauty Case - Build a female PC"
My wife came what to do with Monster High then the idea because apparently some girls are raving about it. :)

So the search engine of trust started and looked what it
since everything is. Since we are then stuck with the Monster Maker.
This template was then the "24 Monster Builder" within the 3 days during live modding at Gamescom.
All the more we have to have then been looking forward so won the league title we in the category 24 Live Modding.

Now I also have a small Worklog who could be made as ausfühlich thanks to our well-known Viktor for you. :)

This is the Monster Maker who has served us as a model.
The device can in the original paint the heads of the dolls.

We have then adapted Builder as a monster, so to speak, is to create all the monsters.

As a leading figure served us the Robecca Steam who is Frankenstein's daughter originally and was built by him.

As a working tool, this little robot was used. But this had to be only once assembled. What the week has ever tasted before the show for half a day. :)

On Tuesday we were all already at the fair and have built our work.
On Wednesday morning we went going directly to the base frame, which consists of 2 vertical plates and a bottom plate.
In order to get a uniform shape I only cut one side and then used as a template for marking.

Then I sanded both side panels together.

After setting the page view and the cut I've fastened the bending plywood with glue and staple gun on the side panels.

So did the whole then made after half a day.

The cardboard tubes can be seen here, we have found in the structure at the fair, which was a happy coincidence. Otherwise it would have been very difficult because tubes themselves to make.
Here I have with multi-master adjusted the cardboard tube to the curved outer shape.

Here we have then seen how we can best build the inner workings.

Next we went to the large bending plywood.
Who as you can see a little defended.
. Because we used to fix anything we've found, including items from the stand (there are so elastic bands to the Plan that we have new purpose: D)

Here you can still see the well of the cutout for the motherboard was taken.

That was the result from the first day.

    Thanks

The next morning we went straight on to the bending plywood.
All the bits and pieces has again well stopped.

But when that was done, I could grind everything again thereafter to start with the veneers.

Oliver, meanwhile, has begun with the Steampunk parts.
And he has a pattern considered and this transferred to polystyrene plates.

This he has all 4 at the same time cut with the Dremel Trio.

I then started with the veneer.
Since the leaves were partly too narrow I had to add this.
That means there are 2 clean sheets laid on one another and cut together. Then the shock is absolutely exact and almost impossible to find.
The leaves were then glued together with masking tape.

Then I glued the first tracks with Pattex Pattex and spray.

Here the two outer layers are on it and I just prepare the veneer for the pipes.

When the Fruniers glue in the pipes must be very careful.
As you start up in the middle and roll it then nicely slowly even rum. If you do not correct the stands from the veneer.

It continued with the large areas. These are each 2 veneer webs were bonded.
The supernatant was cut off with the knife.
One must also always with the grain away from the underground cutting, otherwise it draws on in and you cut too much away.

The inner circle is the most difficult because one must always be careful.

Oli still had the pleasure to the steampunk parts.
He has nearly turn around ground half a day. Is really delicate stuff.
He has me even cursed and said, "If you come to me again with Steampunk hau I Get around the ears": P

When he finished what we've done, the parts with the heat gun warm and adapted to the shape.

That was it already from the 2nd day.

We went on day 3 with the veneers of the inner sides and the bottom.
Then could take the hardware space also before.

The insides were not entirely veneered, since even 2 levels have come Plexiglas tuned.

This we have adhered to this adhesive. Thanks again to Henning (Iron knocker)

Then I made the covers for the bottom plate. These were the left and right side glued.
One of the covers got a cutout for the front USB ports and power button.

The part was so glued to the rounding. Since we had to use everything possible to fix again. : D

Then we also have the golden Painted Steampunk glued parts with superglue.

Oliver is building the robot already final and wired everything.

Last but not least came the even "last rites" with brush and cloth.

And ready is the "24 Monster Builder"

On weekends, the projects were then evaluated by the jury and then allowed us Sunday German champion in 24 Casemodding call. :)

It was again a great week with all the modders, juries and organizer. I'm really looking forward to next year, and I hope you reading was fun here.

Some really sweet speed-modding. Excellent choice of veneer for the curvy bits. It makes them stand out a lot more.
