Guys and gals, working on a small case tidy-up come mod for my younger brother and wanting to keep things simple for him. The case currently has 5 3 pin fans- 2x140mm on rad cooling the loop, 2x140mm exhaust in roof- couldn't fit the second rad into the roof due to it being too thick and not enough clearance in the case- Corsair 540 air- and 1x120mm rear exhaust. There is currently an old fan controller in the old case- Lampton Touch which the fans are hooked up to but it is starting to fail as it is quite old now. I have a spare NZXT Grid which I can power all the fans via psu but looking to control the fans speeds- any ideas how I can do this would be gratefully received- not sure best option to use Mobo is a MSI Gaming Z97m if it helps TVMIA
The grid is just a fan hub , grid+ allows fan speed control. The only way to control the fans on the grid is lower the input voltage. either rewire to 5v or 7v via molex or power the grid from a fan controller
