Hi everyone, here is my first scratch build! The case is inspired by In Win's D-Frame Mini. I would like to thank my sponsors: In Win Nederland , Aquatuning Europe, Antec Europe, MSI Europe,Patriot Memory and Noiseblocker. As I've said, the case is based on the D-Frame and D-Frame Mini, it is made using fir wood beams and planks. Now the sponsorships Aquatuning MSI, Antec, Patriot and Noiseblocker Here is how the sides of the case look like before gluing: The case after gluing, I had to use screws to reinforce the frame. The "Wood-Frame" after gluing, sanding and painting: The components MSI's Z170A XPower Titanium Edition
The GPU used on this project is a GTX 650 ti, the TwinFrozr III cooler matches the Titanium motherboard Here is one amazing Power Supply from Antec! The next update is coming fast!
Update I mounted the motherboard and CPU block, and made a stand for the 240mm radiator using two square metal beams.
Just to make clear, you basically made your own copy of the D-frame in wood??? WOW! Impressive work! I love the color, how did you make it? *following*
The frame is so clean, but all the modern screws isn't really discrete, I think that is what he means They sort of break the pattern
Pretty much, the overall shape is based on the D-Frame Mini while the actual size of the case is more or less the size of the D-Frame. The dark color is due to the lacquer used, there are two coats on the case. Thanks
Update: The Power Supply is fitted to the rest of the system, the Antec HCP Platinum is one of the best , this one is the 850W variant.
Almost the final update - mounted the reservoir and now filling the loop Unfortunately one of my two Graphics Cards got water all over it so this project unfortunately will not feature a GPU.
