Build Advice Reboot and select proper boot device????

    Hi guys
    Im trying to install windows onto my new pc disk is in the drive, boot device is set to dvd, but all i get is " reboot and select a proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" to be honest its doing my head in, any ideas, thanks guys

    That means that your DVD that you're booting from probably isn't bootable.

    Why not install from USB? It's so much easier and faster.

    I dont have my windows 7 pro 64 bit on a usb stick matey, sorted now thanks, sata cable was loose on the dvd drive lol

    Just a nightmare as in device manager its got simple communications device....cheers matey
