    This is exciting!

    Can't wait to use Altera FPGA with an Intel x86 processor inside it.

    I personally find this a little annoying. Intel is like the whiney spoiled child who gets everything he wants simply because he wants it and has the money for it. Intel: you don't HAVE to get into every market that involves a well-selling processor. It's not like Altera will ever be a threat to Intel.

    Unlike companies like EA, Intel doesn't destroy everything they touch. But I'd rather them focus on improving their own hardware than buy out someone else and slap a higher price tag on it due to the name.
