    Hey

A couple of months ago i got myself a Raven 3 which is a midi tower with the result that my old rad (a 360) now was too big, and so im looking for a new rad (been thinking bout the The Black Ice Stealth 280)
But that's not all I'm a bit unsatisfied by my pump ( a Laing D5 put into the XSPC Dual Bay Res) it seems to making a lot of noise and one of the reasons i went with water was to have a really quiet system :), and yes I'm running it on low.

The whole thing looks like this.
    ____________________________
    Pump:Swiftech MCP655 (Laing D5) - ½" (12mm)

Res: XSPC Dual 5.25" Bay Reservoir for Laing D5

Rad: Alphacool Xtreme Pro 360 Rev.2

CPU block: EK - Supreme HF - Acrylic

Fluid: Feser One Cooling Fluid - 1L - UV Red

    Tubing: Tygon R-3603 - 19/12,7mm - ½" (12mm)

In regards to what I'm cooling and what i want, I'm on a somewhat old 775 system running a Q6600 and a 460 gtx.
And as you can see only the cpu is connected to the loop. However I'm planning to upgrade once Ivy bridge hits at which point ill most likely include the gfx in the loop.
I won't be doing any wild OC.

What matters is that the system is quiet got some bling and will be able to keep a future system at acceptable temperatures.

So what rad and pump would you recommend? :^)

Also feel free to comment other aspects of the setup

    Thanks in advance :)

The pump is noisey because of that res rather than the pump it's self. My D5 is utterly silent. So maybe try the pump on it's own...?

Got a D5 also and have no issues with noise have you insulated the pump from the mount?
(some sticky foam between the pump and what ever surface you have it on?)

In that case is could be some bubbles caught in the pump. Try turning it off and on rapidly, that usually shifts the lil buggers :)

Okay thanks guys got the pump fixed only sound left is rush of UV reactive water ^^

But i still need advice regarding the rad. Also seems I'll only be able to fit a 120*2 rather than a 140*2 rad. Which makes me think I'l have to go with something thicker than the stealth if it's supposed to cool a cpu + gfx :^)

For fans I've been thinking about the Air penetrator (my case got 2 of the 180mm version at the bot)
