Congrats on the launch of Expert Reviews and also on an astronomically successful time as bit-tech's Editor. Can't wait to see the redesign!

    Does Harry smell that bad?

Seriously though, good luck with everything and whatnot; it'll be a shame not being able to read your articles on bit any more.

See ya Timbo, it was a pleasure working with you!

I suppose I should also point out that I don't really work here anymore either!

Best of luck Tim, Bit-tech owes you a debt of gratitude.

And while I know it's not aimed at 'us', I have to say that Expert Reviews looks more generic than a can of Tesco Value beans sitting on an Ikea shelf.

Just one more thing, Tim: kthxbai.

Better start learning how a GPU is, why a RAM does and when a CPU has, then. I know how much you love learning these things, Joe.

Is it me or does Expert Reviews look rather like a TrustedReviews clone?

Well that explaines the "Expert Reviews" Ads on Bit tech.

Also why is the site called "Expert Reviews" when the contents are "Laymans Shortviews"...or is changing that your new job?

    Dude, it *so* does. :p

I think it's the Orange/Grey colour scheme, but I can see you're slightly sensitive on the topic so I'll leave it there. ;)

Thanks for the well wishes all. You are not going to get rid of me that easily and I will still be hanging around of course, as this community has been such a massive part of my life. Like recently though, it'll be a little less frequently. :)

It may sound ironic coming from me, but a review doesn't have to be thousands of words long. Its length should depend on who it is written for, not what it is of. A layman walking down the street gets scared off by information overload and just wants to know if a product is any good or not. It takes someone who's truly knowledgeable in their field to know what should and shouldn't be included in a review, just like it takes knowledge to write a long and detailed analysis of a product. They're different skills for a writer to learn and there's honestly method in my perceived madness. :)
