Love the side. The top and front remind me of my last project. Great minds think alike!

Where did you get the side made? Or did you do it yourself? If so, what tools did you use to get such clean cuts, etc?

Love the top and the front, but IMO the side panel looks a bit tacky...

Too shiny for my tastes, but very well made.

Upon closer inspection it apears to me that the side 'plate' is made of mirror persepx?

I cut myself , lots of sanding and buffing, the side is an aluminum sheet .040" thick mirror shine, I cut the straight lines using a scoring knife and the curves using dremel, the acrylic was cut with a jig saw and dremel for curved corner , and a lot's of sending and polishing to get the glass clean looks.

I'm making the left side as well so I can have a symetric looks to the case overall, the left side would have only the buttom small windows , (see sketchup plan). it wouldn' look as tacky once it has that symetric look with both sides similar.

I'm glad somebody asked that... it had me wondering too. That's some shiny aluminium! :eeek: Nice.

Just the sort of thing kids with sticky fingers would want to touch...

Your original design plans are slightly different from the end result. Now I wonder what the other side looks like. Is it a bit like the idea you showed us in the initial design, so with those fishes?

The other side is gonna be identical for the right with one exception without th top big window of course, no sense to look at the back of the motherboard, but it will have the X window and the ovall one for power supply area, now the fish design was just one idea this is the Pisces symbol my sign, I just drafted it for fun, I might go fo it or for something else , haven't decided yet, but something is gonna be carved there other wise I'm gonna end up with a big empty shiny surface, I already think is too much chrome in there as some of you pointed out.

thanks for the input guys good or bad, it help me chnage around a little :)
