Apparently not. According to both parties it isn't this kind of deal.

Must be a coincidence that kit-kat bars are to be carrying massive Android branding on them...

Android KitKat won't crash... it'll just be taking a break.

Orange still exists as a separate entity as well as being one-half of the EE joint venture, and Research In Motion is now known wholly as BlackBerry with the RIM name (and amusing URL) being retired.

RIM are no more, the entire company is called Blackberry [now]

Orange are still Orange, The EE joint venture with T-Mobile is primarily in the UK, elsewhere they're both still separate companies...

EDIT: Gareth beat me to it...

orange and T-Mobile merged last year for 1 company = EE (which ofc you know)

orange is a brand under EE now - hence why it says on the website ` orange brought to you by EE`

says very similar on the TMobile website ;)

although a `nod` for blackberry - seem to have missed that one

Bzzt. I'm afraid you have that exactly backwards: EE is a partly-owned subsidiary of Orange S.A., which owns 50%. The other 50% is held by Deutsche Telekom.

Just for absolute clarity, it's T-Mobile UK and Orange UK who have merged to form EE. Their parent companies are still very much Orange SA and Deutsche Telekom.

EDIT: I started typing that 10 minutes ago, I'm not going insane. I'm not I'm not I'm not.
