As beautiful as it looks, and as much as I like the sound of a completely quiet PC, £200 is a lot to pay for a case.

There's a couple of problems that I foresee:

While this would be a perfect, slightly different looking HTPC, there's nowhere to put an optical drive (unless you have one as an external USB device).
Also, I'm guessing that this would need a fair amount of space around all four sides to allow for a decent amount of airflow for cooling - so it's not something you'd want sitting on your desk.

Hmm. SLI two 650s to compensate for a possible lack of GPU power? Then again, I'm assuming the case isn't M-ITX only.

 

Zalman and others did it. I especially remember the Thermalright HSC case

Who has four 65w tdp components in a system?

The main culprits are cpu and gpu.

Theoretically you could get away with one side cooling the cpu, which leaves room for 195w cooling power with the three other sides combined?

 

Love it! Not planning a new build anytime soon, but something to keep my eye on.

I don't know about you, (or anyone else) but I only ever use the optical drives to install new software, and even then, half of software is downloaded now anyway - having a USB one wouldn't really be a massive problem. My machine has had a blu-ray player in it for three years, never had a single blu-ray disc in it, not once, (contender for the stupidest £50-odd I've ever spent...).

Exactly what I was thinking - 7750's or 650's are fairly decent cards for gaming on a single 1080p screen anyway, a pair of them should satisfy most people, (Titan wielders excepted).

 

TBH, it literally be for super quiet htpc only surely? Seeing as you can buy those phantom evga cards... you are more likely to see a closed loop cooled pc with one of those no?

 

The 250W passive PSU comes embedded with the case, from I've read here and there. The 200€ price seams more "reasonable" to me.

 

You could plausibly cool a half decent gaming system in here, but you'd have to be a bit clever in doing it. I'd suspect that this would be best suited to an HTPC, or possibly a nice quiet fileserver/general server.

 

So how do you cool all the graphics card? Are they going to make full cover blocks for one case?

 

Oh, God! Let that be a single aluminum tube extrusion. Imagine bumming a slightly taller version from them... The things you could build.

wow slap a 65w apu in there and poof decent media pc capable of light gaming that looks good and has no need for fans .

well for now it'll be richland, but kaveris around the corner so it's close enough to plan for.
