HI. I am about to buy the Dell U2415 monitor, that has 2 HDMI(MHL) connector 1 Mini DisplayPort 1 DisplayPort (version 1.2) 1 DisplayPort out (MST). Sadly, My Video card has only : Two Dual Link DVI, Mini HDMIStandard Display Connectors. I google-d around and found out that I can't use a simple DVI to Display Port cable. It works the other way round, but for DVI to DP it has to go trough a special box , that costs a lot of $$$. So I like to keep using my mini HDMI port on the GPU to bring signal to my TV . What cable do I need to connect the GPU and the New Monitor ? Is it DVI Male, to HDMI Male, or DVI Female to HDMI Male , or DVI Female to HDMI Female.... Thank you.
You can get mini hdmi to hdmi adapters and cables like the one linked below. It's what I used when I had a 480 plumbed into my tv. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1m-s...rnet-4kx2k-and-3d-ready-(14a)-gold-connectors
I guess you read my question the wrong way. I want to keep my HDMI output for my TV, and use the DVI output of the GPU for the monitor, that has no DVI Input options.
Ah yeh sorry. You need one of these then: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3m-s...d-hdmi-(male)-to-dvi-d-dual-link-(male)-black
Good evening, I'd go for what The_Crapman has suggested, might get it a little cheaper on eBay if you wanted. Regards, Richard.
