    I believe it uses the laser in the disk drive to change the colour of the top of the disk, allowing you to create images.

    thank you but how do you actually use it, purchased dvd drive with labelflash wondering how to take advantage of it

    I've always used this:

    but I have only used lightscribe, but I can't imagine there being much difference. I have always been surprised how little people use tech like this. Made all the discs I had to make at uni look amazing!
