Right i haven't used my NTL account in ages, and now i am in uni i am trying to set it up through a pop3 client. Problem is i cannot remember my password and the only way i can retrieve it is to type in my NTL email addy and they send my details to that account.

THE ONE I CANNOT GET INTO TO START WITH!!!

How can i get my password. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

If you were a NTL tech would you trust some random email saying "Please send the password for ntl account xxxxxxxx to the following email address.... it really is me gov honest"

Stop trying to be a smart ass.

It won't even let me go to my security question ffs.

Its a simple question do you, or do you not know of any way other than ringing them to retrieve it??

Nope and in all honest I can't see them giving you the password any other way than you ringing up and "proving" your identity (answering random questions about your personal details eg. billing address etc) and them giving you the password over the phone.

Pretty much standard for any tech support I've ever encountered.

NTL Tech support isnt necessarily pants, I've used them once and they were excellent actually, only on hold for a min, and friendly and thorough over the phone.

Although myself and a mate have come to the conclusion that it depends on wehre you live as to how good the tech support and service is. If you live in a area predominantly inhabited by students, forget it. everyone I know that has had NTL that lives in these parts of nottingham has had connection problems since day one and has has no end of problems trying to get in contact with them. I've got a friend who live in the ghetto, he has found that both sky and zen are like that as well, because if you live in the ghetto youre obviously not used to good customer service, so why bother trying? :hehe: Go NTL!

My dad had the same problem, however once he requested the password his account was acessable without the password for a few hours so he could retrive it.
