Hi Guys, I'm sorting out some old comp bits to sell off - I found my old grx card in the loft.. thing is the stickers on the back of the card say its a XFX Geforce 8800 Ultra.. And yet the driver CD is for AMD? - a quick search of gf 8800 ultra comes up as nivida?? - yet the install booklet shows AMD catalyst control panel So WTF is it?? Nvidia or AMD? This is an nvidia 8800 ultra: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2007/06/15/xfx_geforce_8800_ultra_650m_xt/1
Looks the same.. so thats Nvidia? If you look at the piccie on my second link - you'll see it says AMD? Unless I've got something mixed up in the boxes.
Obviously the wrong manual in the box. It's definitely a 8800 ultra cooler, and if it says 8800 ultra on the board, then it's an 8800 ultra.
The second picture does indeed say its a GeForce 8800 so I would say that must be what it is, an xfx GeForce 8800 which is an NVIDIA part
Thank goodness for that, didn't think it was mentioned earlier that it's an 8800 Ultra. Nvidia made that card by the way.
You would not find a GTX 780 Ti in the loft Lenny, that would be a criminal offence in PC enthusiast circles.
