folding on the GeForce GTX 680

    Has anyone folded on the new GTX 680, if so, what sort of PPD is it doing, temped to get one :p

    I couldn't get mine to work.

    Maybe I need to use the new V7 client but I don't like it.


    It won't fold under the GPU3 client though.


    Very strange.

    Just installed the v7 just for you.

    Doesn't work either :/

    GPU Load: 0%.

    Ah well :/

    Did all that too.

    Still not working.

    Says the client is running but GPU is doing 0% usage :p

    how odd, i might give it a month then, before i think about buying it, hopefully they will have a working client for it. anyways need aprils pay check to buy it anyways :)

    I read over on overclockers:

    You have to use the v7 Client and you need to add the command:
    "client-type:beta" to the gpu slot

    Does that help? I'm still on 480's so I can't test it...

    Yes that works and my 680 can fold however it is dog slow :sigh: so will wait until they get their app re-written to take advantage of the extra grunt the 680 has.

    How many PPD are you getting?

    I read somewhere that the 6xx cards have been tweaked to be better for gaming at the expense of GPGPU ability compared to the 5xx series cards.
