    Hi,
As above basically, yesterday my PC BSODed multiple times, the one one occuring before anything even loaded when I booted up (showed my background, said a couple of programs had crashed then gone)
One of them showed kernel_data_inpage_error as the reason, had a quick google and it seemed to imply HDD, so I ran a CHKDSK /R, but had to leave it going since it was half 4 at the time. The bit I did see it did seem to correct various errors etc, however when I tried booting as normal when I woke up, another BSOD.

Any way for me to tell what's causing it?
    Thanks
    George

    Edit:
Specs are in my sig, and I'm currently in Safe Mode with networking which seems to be ok.
Thinking of swapping out my gpu to see if it's deteriorated and is causing the issues, think I have a spare GTX260.

As it seems to be ok in safe mode it would more than likely be a corrupt driver or system file.

You can check the ssd with crystal disc or your manufacturers tools.

Try "sfc /scannow" in an elevated command prompt to see if its a windows system file issue.

Try un installing the gfx drivers and reboot.

Yeah it hasn't crashed in Safe Mode yet.

Ran sfc /scannow and it says:
    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
    em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

    C:\Windows\system32>

    :/

Had a quick look at it seems to mention stuff about DirectWrite, which from a quick google would make sense since the fonts in Opera went wacky after the first BSOD.

I'll try uninstalling my gpu drivers now.

Had a similar problem with my M4 a while ago that was solved by uninstalling the intel Sata and intelligent storage drivers. something to do with it putting the drive to sleep at the wrong time. i never did figure out why it caused it.

What's the best way to test that?

Got SMART monitoring tools and ran it and got a long list of things, won't let me copy the text though?

Here's a screenshot of some of it:

I have recently started putting the computer to sleep sometimes, maybe I'll avoid doing that from now on.
So did you reinstall them or are they just not needed?

Just a side note. SATA cables are a pest. Always change first before assuming the worst.

    Will do :)

Haha yeah, probably will do, although I'm more leaning towards gpu now, I've downclocked it a little further, and installed the latest drivers and everything seems ok now.

Ok cool, will see how it goes today then may do.

How long has it been in use? M4s with older firmware start to cause BSODs after 5k hours of use.

It's under a year old, bought it from Kenco during the summer I think.

Can't find anything called intel sata to uninstall :/

Had been working fine all day, then just now as I came off of Star Wars Jedi Knight it crashed with the same kernel_data_inpage_error BSOD :/

Judging by what SMART monitoring is saying I would the SSD wasn't doing very well. I'd download PartedMagic and boot it from USB/CD. You can check drive health with it. It uses a GUI version of the SMART tool you used above. However testing like this will rule out any Windows cock ups :)

It will read out any logged errors, failing attributes and let you run tests (as you probably expect/know).

You need to check that firmware buddy on the M4 like Andersen said. If it's 000X (X being a number) then you need to flash it ASAP. If it's 0309 or 000F then you can rule out the firmware. Crystal disk info will tell you the firmware revision and the power on hours.

On another note the firmware is dead easy to apply and is non destructive for the M4's, but i would backup everything important just incase.

    Seems to be ok? :/
Doesn't seem to recognise 2 of my drives though (my 2 oldest, would be interesting to see their power on hours)

Try your system without the 4 x 2TB drives connected for a while and see if BSOD's with just the M4.

An update, seems to be ok, but I was downloading some stuff overnight, and woke up to find it had restarted (normally or due to a BSOD I don't know) and said it can't boot because it couldn't find an OS.
Went into the BIOS and the boot order for my HDDs had changed, with my SSD being last rather than first, this is the 2nd time this has happened, any ideas? :/

Sounds to me as if you have a dodgy cable that isn't seated fully, so it might pop out slightly and back in, thus being the newest drive in the system and go to last in the order.

    Change the SATA cable?

Hmm, possibly, I'll see if I've got any spares with me.

    Thanks.
