I have two NAS drives with annoying defects. One have a RAM problem that makes it sometimes lock up and freeze, the RAM looks like it's not able to be repaired as its soldered to the MB.
Another NAS have a small part of defective sectors, not really ideal either.
The oldest drive use 10/100 network and use IDE HDD, so not great to swap the HDD for something without defective sectors on - also, the build in controller only handles up to 500GB...

    Anyway...

How do I move data from one NAS to another?

I have a new third NAS I want to collect the data on.

I hope it can be done without it have to buffer trough my normal PC?
If it needs to buffer in the PC, will it then age on my SSDs in the PC?

I have done it before were I used an external USB harddrive, as most NAS drives can import/export data to USB. It's not the fastest, but it gets the job done.

Any other ways to do it I have not thought about?

As long as you can access all three NAS drives from your computer, then you should be able to directly copy from one NAS to another.

If you can use the command line on one of the NAS do that.
