Build Advice Customer Water Build

Hi guys,

First time poster, so be gentle

I'm currently considering making a one of a kind custom PC, which will be watercooled inside a desk. I know it's already been done however it's something that would help me as I'm requiring more space.

So far my specs are:
Intel i7 960 (overclocked)
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2
6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator GT 2000mhz
800W Enermax Modu 87+
1GB Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti Super Overclock (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-giga ... -384-cores)
My own Hard Drives's.
EK-KIT H3O - Supreme HF 360 water cooling kit using Copper (details - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-kit-h ... ing-copper)

I'm ideally wanting to water-cool as much as I can inside the case as I can, I already have the basics with the EK-Kit H30, but I'm wanting to take it further by adding in water-cooled RAM, G.card etc.... I was wondering if one of you tech guru's could help me with what else I'll need. I'm ideally after all EK stuff.

If you can help this would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you need to watercool your RAM? They probably use all of about 5 watts.

all water cooling more stuff does is reduce flow.
stick to vga and cpu tops id say unless you want 2 loops.

 

Water cooling ram is a fad...only there for boasting and showboating your rig just for the "owww ahhhs" from spotty kids at a lan party....GPU and CPU are the only things that really get hot enough to justify watercooling with todays cases and there decent airflow taking care of everything else.

As mrbungle has touched on the more you cool, the more loops and bigger and harder your pump needs to be/works.....reducing vital airflow to the cpu/gpu that actually needs it...

 

RAM watercooling was only necessary back in the DDR days with ridiculously over-volted RAM... With DDR2/3 there's just no need imo.

 

You will still have to use fans to cool components such as psu,hdd etc
So water-cooling CPU and gpu will not reduce need of all air cooling
