Budget: £100 Im looking for a set of desktop speakers to replace listening to music via my Soundblaster Arena headphones on max volume whilst sat on my desk. My brother has a set of Micro Lab 6c's but those things are enormous. If there's nothing better for that price I would opt for those but should there be others of similar quality but slightly smaller I would be interested.
These are still big (I think they are a lot smaller than the 6c's) but definitely worth a look: http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/pc-speakers/198141/m-audio-studiophile-av-40 http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Stu...ie=UTF8&qid=1393712917&sr=8-2&keywords=maudio Read what they are all about first though as people say they don't suit bass heavy music so well.
I've got these Bose companion 2 series III http://exceptional-av.co.uk/bose-companion-2-series-iii-multimedia-speaker-system.html?gclid=CNe-hanF8rwCFZShtAodmQUALQ
Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II review Some silly prices on Amazon but I think I paid about £75-80, designed to have some decent bass which they do have, smallish footprint at 31 x 14 x 9cm, the monitor in the picture is 24 inch, also they do come with covers but look cool with them off
Acoustic Energy Aego M The subwoofer gives great bass whilst not being overly big to fit under a desk and the satellite speakers are made from metal! One of the best small speakers I've ever owned.
