Many years ago I walked into a local army surplus store in the UK (for clarity) and picked up a plastic box I really liked the look of. Never really took much notice on where it was from I just thought it looked pretty cool!

It turned out to be from an American Bradley fighting vehicle (I forget the exact details) and I turned it into the following mod.

I'm looking to get my hands on around two more but being an American ammo box its really rare finding anything relating to them in this country!

eBay has a few in the US but after being stung with shipping and customs its not within my budget to justify.

Simply. Has anyone come across boxes like this that sell from the UK? I'm happy to arrange some third party fee if it becomes convenient to pick me up some from a local surplus.

I've already arranged with my local surplus if they ever come across some I should be the first to call.

I bought a couple of these a a year or 2 back at BASE Army Surplus in Bournemouth.
I think they were £15 a piece, they were heavy duty plastic with an over centre clip on the site to hold the top. They didn't have the labels on any more, just black all over.
If you don't have any joy, I may be able to recover them as they were used for a while at the Scouts I help at, but are in the stores at the moment

That sounds brilliant. if they are recoverable I would love to take them off your hands for the right price :)

I need something ultra sturdy for a project and they've always been my first choice. its just almost impossible to come by them

Leave it with me, I will be over there on Friday and will check if they are still there then ask if they are still needed.

    Got 'em

Evening, I have been over tonight and the 2 ammo boxes were there and could be made available.

I'll take some pics in the morning and post them.

    Pics at last

Done, have managed to grab a quiet moment to scale and upload the pix.

Let me know if they're what you're looking for - these are not new, but scruffy, not much labelling and been a bit dirty!

They look good to me, the one I got was in a pretty terrible state when I got it.

I'm more interested in the durability of the cases and openings of both sides.

How much are you hoping to get for them both?

Ok that's reaching just past my real intended budget

What kind of postage did you intend to use/ roughly how much do you expect it to cost?

I haven't look into it yet, as I wasn't sure if they'd be OK.
Will look into cheap options in the next day or so.
    Cheers

They look good to me, Stuff like the rust and dirt isn't a big deal.

Parcel2Go would be the best option for me, although the closer to £20 would be better for me

Been on to Parcel2Go and the package will be about 40x40x40cm and 10Kg.
Cheapest option is UPS Access Point to Access Point at £5.94 or MyHermes ParcelShop at £7.28

I'd be happy to do either at £25 all up :)

Ok UPS sounds good the access point is in a convenient place for me, I need to have a look at my finances as I'm being rather ambitious purchasing theses at £25

Could you pm me your details and I'll see if I can scrape the additional funds together? :)
