Amazingly it's been 4 years since the original  epic Geekbench thread  and I think it'd be great to do the same thing again to get an idea of how hardware has changed in that time and also to have a bit of lighthearted fun competing with each other. :) If it really takes off then I can put a scoreboard together like Pookeyhead did the last time (and believe it or not, they're still up!).

Geekbench 3.3.2 is free to download and you can run it in 32-bit without a licence.

All you have to do is run the benchmark (it takes minutes, or less) and post the link to your score, preferably using URL tags so that your score is instantly readable. Please also post the main components in your system (CPU, Mobo & RAM) with some info on frequencies.

It's up to you how hard you want to push your rig. If you want you can do a "daily settings" run and also a "suicide" run. :D

To kick things off, here's my score. As of two weeks ago, these are my daily settings:

    Xeon X5650 @ 4.3GHz
    Gigabyte X58-USB3
    6GB Dominator GT @ 1560 9-9-9-24

    17622

    Multi score only?

    25421

    5960X @ Stock 3/3.5G
    R5E
    16GB Kingston 2133 @ CL15 (whatever SPD is)

Mostly just run stock due to daily stability/laziness and the fact I've finally got a totally silent PC \o/

AMD A10-5800K at 3.8GHz, Gigabyte something-or-other motherboard, 16GB of RAM. I didn't close anything for the run, so I could likely claw a few points back - especially if I shut down BOINC - but let's face it, it's hardly worth it. Shame I can't afford an upgrade, really!

    EDIT:
Ran it on the MicroServer, for giggles. 1735.

    HT Enabled
    9383
    HT Disabled
    7771

    i7-920 @ 3.29 GHz
    EX58-UD4
    6GB RAM

Was surprised Geekbench was so easy to run and relatively small download, some benchmarks can be a right PITA.

Ooh good point - if I collate scores I'll also put single core performance in a different column, but no need to post here as it's easy to access via linky. :thumb:

@Corky42, your score is very low for X58 because you've disabled HT. Any reason you don't run HT?

No concrete reason, when i OC'ed it i read that HT can sometimes hold things back, since then I've never really switched it back on, maybe i should I'm just not sure my everyday use would benefit from HT.

EDIT: re-run it with HT enabled and updated original post.

You need to write it like this:

    [noparse]result[/noparse]

Where "url-of-result.example.net" is, obviously, the result URL, and "result" is the multi-core result copy-and-pasted (or memorised and typed) from said page. I've done it for you, 'cos I'm helpful like that.

Not so much a suicide run but not completely stable.

    20322

    6700K @4.781GHz
    16GB DDR4@3200

This would be what I run it at daily... (4.6GHz stable, waiting for bios to mature before I push it more.)

    19983

For comparison this is my phone...

    3425

    These are all x64

    Edit: 32Bit @4600MHz for reference

    18658

Vault Tec, is your ram running in quad?

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Edit: my previous i5-750@3800 with 1800MHz DDR3.

This is run on my 24/7 settings (with the base clock at 125).
The CPU (5960X) is actually running at 4.5ghz @ 1.31v
    16gig DDR4 @ 3000mhz

    32198

When I get time, I will go for a suicide run

Didn't true gamer break 30k 3 years back on his system in x64 if I remember correctly. 3 years later wonder if we will see 40k+ scores.
