    Hello all.

I am buying a PC from Scan (If it ever turns up) and it has been overclocked for me... as I always re-format all PCs / Hard Drives once i receive them i will be doing the same However, If I do this will this remove any overclocking done to the machine?

If I'm correct I think the OC is done via the Bios.

You are correct. The overclock settings are stored in the BIOS, and will remain no matter what you do to Windows. The only issue would be if Scan use one of the "live" overclocking tools that some motherboard manufacturers produce, but I think that's unlikely.
