    The more places that finally ditch Flash the better. Video playback shouldn't need external plugins or be platform limited on browsers :) DRM is the main limit to getting rid of it I suspect sadly however, but I'm sure there is some way around that (DRM to ensure you have the right to access in the first place before the content is streamed/accessible probably?).

    I think this is a bit unfair on flash.

    Flash was intended to do - and does - a lot more than just video playback. Really, using it just for that was always abuse of a sort.

    It's better that we have another way of playing back video, but let's not baby/bathwater this.
