Hi guys, just seen another Nvidia review of yet another 1070. While its great you are reviewing and i always think your reviews are independent, can anyone in bit-tech explain why there are hardly any AMD reviews ? looking at the below you have done 12 Nvidia reviews vs 3 AMD ones based on the current GPU lineup, you havent even reviewed the 4GB 480? Nvidia 4x 1080 reviews (all 3rd party) 3x 1070 reviews (all 3rd party) 4x 1060 reviews (three 3rd party, 1 reference) 1x Titan X review AMD 1x 8GB 480 review (reference) 1x 470 review (3rd party) 1x 460 review (3rd party)
Yeah, we do get sent a lot more Nvidia stuff, but we I am aware the coverage is imbalanced at the moment. We do have some AMD cards lined up though, but are there any in particular you wanted looking at?
the 2x sapphire RX480 Nitro+ (4GB and 8GB) ones would be great as they are pre-overclocked ones. ive seen a few more from other vendors. My only gripe is that when you look at the benchmarks at the minute stock AMD models are compared to overclocked 1060's which doesnt quite seem fair. a 4GB RX480 vs a 3GB 1060 would be a good shout too
Sapphire cards won't be a problem. Been trying to get a 1060 3GB too but not much luck, will reach out again though
yeah would be interesting to see the performance difference between the 6GB and 3GB models considering they have reduced the core count too.
Don't take this for gospel but I *think* Eurogamer may have compared them and there was virtually nothing in it but they did not endorse the 3gb overall as it would be obsolete in pretty much no time.
This has not been forgotten about, I promise, but we've had some incredibly bad luck with our test system recently. Please see this thread for details. GTX 1050/GTX 1050 Ti will take precedent since they are new, but after that we do still have AMD partner cards lined up for review.
