All credit for this thread should go to saspro, as he set up the original thread on the old Custom PC forum - I'm simply recreating it here for continuity.

    -------

Still working out how this works but I'm assuming we need people to signup to this.

Stick your name down in this thread.

    Sums it up nicely

    The rules etc

    Count me in.

What is 'Tuesday May 5th 12pm DPT' in BST? I make it 8pm that day, but I'm never sure if 12pm means 12 noon or 12 midnight?

No sig until your post count passes 10. No PMing either.

Man, I'm going to get really sick of telling newbies that ;)

There is no team list that I need. Just that you are wanting to compete and your username yuo plan to fold under. The idea is that you get as many members of CustomPC to fold under your selected username and race to 20 million points. The first one there wins! It's actually rather simple.

This means everyone will miss out on points, however the Custom PC team will still get them & we'll get in the mag with a milestone for the user (which I'm thinking will be CPChimps)

So far from the top 20 producers, we have .....

    • 01 phoenicis
    • 02 CyberpowerUK
    • 03 PS3/LanDi
    • 05 Lizard
    • 07 clivem
    • 09 spunkeymonkey
    • 11 saspro
    • 13 Christopher N. Lewis

Did I miss anyone from the top 20 producers that has already said they will take part? We sure could use a few more of the big hitters, and of course anyone who wishes to join the fun, 10 PPD or 10,000,000 PPD - it all counts in the race to 20,000,000 points!

Put my name down too. I can't guarantee amazing production as I've mostly had to stop folding due to leccy bills, but I'll fire up as many machines as I can for this short stint.

The main problem with my set up is if to join it requires changing the name on the client i have over 400pcs to change.

i know from experience when just tweeking settings on them all takes the best part of a few weeks to get them all in my spare time (its mostly work computers) and when their not being used :geek:

so i may have to sit this one out - or at least only donate my home based rigs. sorry!

    400! Holy cow!

Makes sense. Well a lot more sense than changing config on 400 PCs! :D

Trying to keep track of people who expressed and interest on the old CPC forum. All people who've migrated across have a link from their name to their forum profile - second post in this thread. That leaves Nomadicsoul, phoenicis and Inquitus. So if you guys are here, please reply.

CPChimps is the one the comp will be watching.

We need to make sure everyone uses the correct capitals etc so we get maximum points.
