3248 on an overclocked 780. Around 20fps for the most part. Can't wait to get a 1080, but I will have to.

1080 seems to be ahead of 2 480s which is a bit strange. 2 480s score about 7k in the benchmark 1 1080 is around 7.5k.

I expect drivers will mature for both archtectures.

What's most interesting is that disabling async compute for both Pascal and Polaris results in a drop in performance.

yes the drop is bigger on AMD - and no change at all on Maxwell ;)

What results are you looking at harle, 480 loses 10% score 1070 loses 5% score on the benches on guru and anandtech. The 970 loses 3% as well.

annoyingly I saw a review earlier with 1080 and 980 with async on and off , and the 980 gained nothing from it being off

Forgive my dumb question but will this run on older cards, e.g
    Fermi?

I don't think Nvidia plan Fermi DX12 support, the architecture is getting a little long in the tooth!

Ran this test on my own setup scored 7200 points with 6700k and a 1080 ( clocks whatever Palit ships at, it's around 2ghz sustained boost) CPU at 4.2ghz turbo settings. Might have to mess around with overclocking as if I scored 7500 I would be in top 100.

Says my PC is 4K ready which made me laugh. 4 1080s score 20k points lol. 2 480s score just over 7000 points with the same CPU. Did not check clocks of either was just a link in steam.

Ahh you got one of the Palit models. Which one did you go for? We might have the same cooler.

I managed to find a Gainward GLH but I'm wondering if the Golden Sample/Goes like Hell branding actually means anything as I'm getting similar clockspeeds to you and many others (Varies between 2011 and 2063 depending on load, usually in the higher end)

Does the Palit overclocking software have voltage monitoring? from the Gainward readings my card rarely goes much above 1v.

I managed to get a score of 7420 in Timespy, am awaiting newer drivers so I can use the other 3Dmark tests without it telling me that I cancelled the tests when I didn't.
