    Its up on the Dell UK site now, maxxed out, comes to about £2100.

    The only difference i can see between the 2 laptops, is that there is an option for a Audigy 2 internal sound card on the US model, which i didnt know there was one.

    Theres also a review of it on Annandtech now...looking at the 7900go specs, the clock speeds have taken quite a hit compared to the desktop model..down from 650/1600 to 500/1200...ouch.

    The battery life is probably measured in milleseconds, if it even has one!

    I'd rather spend the money on a beefy desktop for less money and more options.

    If I had the cash to blow though, I'd condiser it... especially if I lanned a lot or participated in copetitions.

    Uh... no!

    Did you not see the front page article for the dual-SLI Notebook recently?

    There are tons of more powerful notebooks. They're just not made by mainstream manufacturers.

    Its just a portable desktop with a built in ups. And at the end of the day its still a dell. Although I wouldnt mind having one.

    Not sure about that one either...I think the Voodoo models (both desktop & laptop) beat anything alse hands down in the design stakes!
