Anyone know the diameter in mm of Motherboard standoff holes, PCI hold down holes, Radiator fan mounting holes, and Case side panel screws? I've seen so many different ones, I was wondering what was the standard if it exists.

    Thanks,
    Mal

if its a scratch build its what ever you really want, i would suggest getting a PC screw kit

    your head will roll

so... i know its not much help
its like shopping for a car, there are more choices then you care to honestly deal with

Is FrozenCPU back in business I thought they went belly up?

I guess I'm not understanding the terminology. M3, M4 and 6/32 etc. Are those screw dia. or thread types? How to do you find thread count and spacing? Am I over thinking this? My head hurts

Google atx form factor, drill tap sizes, fan dimensions, etc. Standard screws used are m3 and 6-32. 4-40 seems to be common in old I/O screw connectors.
M4 is common for radiators, but often ship with 8-32 for US compatibility. It's easier for us to find crazy- long screws in US format, for example.

    M3, M4 i believe are screw standards

6/32 is the thread types (of some sort)

im not sure what happened with all of that FrozenCPU stuff, but i just linked it to show you what i was thinking of. and what exactly is out there

I'm researching something similar for my next build. Mobo's use M3 screws and have a clearance hole of about 4mm.

But it seems the clearance hole for M3 is about 2.9mm and above(i.e the hole you need to drill for a M3 screw to fit through). A hole for tapping a thread needs to be about 2.6mm

    Hope that helps!
