I am thinking of getting a case modded for me (if I can find anyone who will give me a qoute!) and am just wondering what would look good?

Base case I want is a Antec SX1030B. Extra cooling is not needed as my hardward runs cool anyway, :)

    I'm thinking of
    Upgrading to 400watt power supply
    Round window (tinted Blue)
Blue cold cathode light in bottom
Red Sound Sensitive Neon in top
    Black 3 1/2" FDD
    Blue neon string around base
    Black Bay Bus
All LEDs (FDD, bay bus, case) replaced with blue ones.

What do you think? Got about £300.

    James

PS - Trust me doing this myself would be a very bad idea.

some parts that you mention such as the cold cathode tube and the tinted window are items only available in the US but apart from that, you could ask CCM.

I am getting a cold cathode tube very soon and I will let you know what I think of it!!!

for the PSU buy a Enermax 350 the new one not 330! it has gold plated grills that look cool!

Sound dsensitive neons are cool but I like the liquied ones much more!

    Black floppy yup!

    black bay bus????
    Your case black or summin?

    Blue led's YUM!!!!

    300 pounds u say?

I think thats enough money and with the EL cable (aka neon string) you will have more lights than vegas!

    Look it glows!

    > I am getting a cold cathode tube very soon and I will let > you know what I think of it!!!

Thanks for that. I thought a nice blue glow from the bottom might look quite cool.

    > for the PSU buy a Enermax 350 the new one not 330! it has > gold plated grills that look cool!

I would get an Enermax, but they seem to incredibly difficult to get hold of. The 300/400 watt supplies from Antec seem to be in plentiful supply.

    > Sound dsensitive neons are cool but I like the liquied
    > ones much more!

The tube is to provide permanent light. The sound sensitive is to add effect, :)

    > Your case black or summin?

    Yep

    > you will have more lights than vegas!

Good it is meant to have an effect, :)!!!!

    > in the US but apart from that

Got 4 weeks until I have my hands on the cash, so maybe the OCS will have got some by then! Or CCM. Well one can hope, :)

    Problem

Will they have in stock in 4 weeks time though? Who knows, :)

Anyway I have to get it done for me and that does include everything, :)! Well I could put in the PSU, but it makes sense to get it put in for me!

Probably a bad person to ask

Ok I shall do that thanks, :)! I did ask for an estimate at OCS, but haven't got a reply yet.

Am I quite utterly insane thinking of spending more than £50 on a case, my friends seem to think so and I am beginning to wonder? It is just I have them for so many years it makes sense to get one I like, :)!

    :)

You can? Can you give me a qoute for all that?

    Thanks

    James

PS - I don't need much cooling as I will be running an old Celeron 400 for the moment, which doesn't much care for O/C. Got it upto 480MHz though, with a full complement of PCI cards and 1 ISA. It is an Intel 440LX motherboard so I had AGP at 80MHz (running an ATI Rage Pro at the time), PCI at 40MHz and ISA at 20MHz. I switched it back down when funny smells were coming from my PC, :)! Anyway replacing older components this summer with some nice new super fast kit!

    Or possibly

    OR POSSIBLY...

    Production LAN Case

    Dimensions increased to 18 x 18 x 21
2nd 5.25" drive bay mounted under first
2nd 3.5" drive bay mounted along side first
    Grey tinted perspex

Oh and I would have to have some dark blue glow in the round cables (1X ATA 100, 1x EIDE, 1x Floppy), :)

Those fans look odd. How about moving the one facing the motherboard down to the bottom and having a symmetrical one on the other side between the 2 HDDs keeping them cool. Those two would put air into the case and a big 120 taking air out at the top?

Do you reckon they would do that?

Well I don't know how far I am willing to push the price... £300+ is a lot to spend on a case!
