Yeah, command structure? Why? What decisions does a clan have to make anyway, unless they own some shared property?

My aim in-game is to get a decent sized ship (corvette? frigate?) that can hold a bunch of BitTech'ers ships, and we'll just fly around having fun. Since the ship will be owned by an individual (ie: me) there's no real need for some complex role-playing command structure, and we can argue the toss about what to do next in chat.

That sounds more up my street. I doubt I’ll have the time to ever get a Corvette or a Frigate so if a BTer can get their hands on one, and there’s a spare parking bay going then I’d be all over that. Would be extra useful since when we login we’ll all be in the same sector for pew pew etc.

The whole thing with the "Command structure" is just to have Reps for each of the player sections (considering we have a fleet of 200+), so any grievances, ideas and such can be passed to them. it also helps with diplomatic relations with other guilds.

The whole thing is so that like-minded people can get together and assist each other and have fun.

OK... I am impressed. Great mechanics and visuals but also by his words. He's very much pro-PC and describes it as an open platform that's constantly evolving. Although he's using a console controller the video eventually shows a Saitek HOTAS.

Full HOTAS control will be in the game - several developer videos have been seen with the Thrustmaster HOTAS setup + pedals, working like a dream.

They are working with Oculus Rift, but nobody knows what form it will take - particularly as Oculus handles text poorly. I'd expect 3D to be in there as well.

This game is essentially going to be like how EvE online is at the moment except with 1st person mechanics and a different game world and new mechanics, such as the fleet command. Essentially you'll need command structure as the game is going to get very complicated quite quickly. If it lives up to being a proper sandbox with a lot of content, a bit like how EvE is, but in 1st person and a sort of combination of freelancer and the X series, this game is going to have me sucked into a vacuum never to escape.....

Ok, I see the offer. I'm intrigued. However, where is the 'buy button'......all I see are the various packages, but none of them mention LTI - instead they have 2 or 3 or 4 month offers.

I've been meaning to buy into this before but just following updates so far. Does the LTI offer apply to all ships you end up getting? Or to just one ship?

I think you need to register, then the button "Register to Pledge" here will be replaced with ship options, payment type and "Beam me Up" controls. Also your account page allows you to upgrade and add extras to your 'pledge.'

so this all looks very interesting, but has the alpha/beta actually started yet? All the packages claim expected delivery in november.

I do enjoy a good bit of space, i might have to re-install x3 and try to get into it again.
