    Hi all,

My new laptop (bought from Americaland) has an odd habit of restting its BIOS clock to some sort of American time every now and again. Does anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the BIOS battery could be on way out maybe?

Is it something in Windows syncing to an ntp server in the states somehow? I'd check scheduled tasks, msconfig and any factory installed guff.

The clocks are all the same AFAIK.

Crossed my mind, but it always shifts by whole hours, no reset to some weird date and time.
    I shall have a look.

I couldn't find anything. It only does it very occasionally now so I put up with it!

Change the battery as it is pennies and At least it rules that out.
