I am yet to get the official release or article but heard it read out that I believe it is MIT have
Managed to figure out how to link or fuse silicon to organic
    Mateial.

If true this is one of the biggest moments in computing history ?
As it opens the doors to for example brain implants and who knows what.

If silicon could be used to connect to the brainy it might be possible for example
To provide sight to blind people or create matrix type VR experiences.

Well given that your post is #4 on google when searching for this subject I'd say that without reliable sources of data it's no more than a sci-fi idea at the moment.

Where did you read about this?

You sure it wasn't someone confused about organosilicon compounds?

played it back and converted it to text.

Scientist at MIT believe they have found the first step towards a novel solution
Of how to integrate machine and mind, organic fiber's less than the width of a human hair that would integrate with natural tissues enabling a new type of interface would permit the transmission of signals directly to the brain, they state that the neuron probe is modelled after that which is used on the telecommunication industry

Old news. They've been making chips for a while that have tiny compartments with organic compounds on them that change their electrical properties (charge or resistance, or even luminosity) when reacting with chemicals or organic materials. This change triggers an electronic response on the chip. Problem is, those organic compounds don't last long.

Meshing silicon with brain tissue would in theory not be that hard. Chip circuits could be coated with material that neurons would use as a scaffold to attach dendrites and axons to, and neurons certainly produce enough electrical potential for a silicon chip to sense. The chip could be powered by body heat. The problem is more getting the two to communicate in a meaningful way. There would have to be learning on both sides: for the neurons to produce signals that the chip is programmed to interpret correctly.

That's right I remember seeing a programme about it years ago still a long way to go for a organic computer
