    Hi All,

We have a lot of photos ~70k, and finding things can be quite difficult. I was thinking that adding metadata tags would be a good way to be able to filter/sort them.

Does anyone use any software to collate/tag their photos, and if so what?

    Cheers!

I used to use metadata but I found it much easier just to work with date/time and sort into folders using Bridge/Lightroom.

You can use Bridge/Lightroom to edit metadata (perfect for this sort of thing) or Photoshop to a lesser extent (you can't browse files the same way etc.), but these are obviously not free programs. Another one I'd consider is PhotoME however I'm always weary of freeware.

Well we have a Creative Cloud sub, so will give Bridge a look :)

We already store in a folder structure by year & date; but would be good to be able to pick out all the photos featuring our cats (for instance)...
