    I thought the exact same thing when I saw it. Maybe Men in Black was right when they said they held the patents to a few inventions from other planets. Phillips head screws are actually a Martian technology!

    Maybe it's from a race of robotic beings, and their doughnuts are hld together with bolts/screws?

    Could it be a dust cover on the rover its self? If u go to the site and hover over the images it gives a breif description
