Hi guys, was thinking about making the switch over from Nvidia to an AMD graphics card after reading the good reviews, and the positive steps they have made with the drivers and crossfire.

However, I have been impressed with Nvidia's Adaptive Vsync as a solution to eliminate tearing without reducing framerates. Does AMD have an equivalent? Or does it not need one for whatever reason?

    Cheers,

Yeah, just use RadeonPro and it'll do the same thing (it calls it Dynamic Vsync).

To be honest I'm not impressed with adaptive Vsync, I still get tears with it enabled, although not as much as I would with it disabled. I prefer to rely on D3DOverrider to control my Vsync and Triple Buffering that works for both Nvidia and AMD, but only in 32bit games.
