    Hi all,

I've just install Windows 7 RC1 (64-bit) and it's great - apart from the fact that some of my older games such as Oblivion don't work.

It says that the d3dx9.dll was not found. Running the game under compatibility mode also does not work.

Do I have to install the latest version of DX 9 ?

I though that version of DirectX in the RC (says it's DX 11) was compatible with DX9 games.

DX10 games such as Crysis run fine.

    Thanks

Yep, most games need some of the d3dx9_xx.dll files in System32 (where xx is 29-41 (IIRC)). You can either install the latest DX redistributable or just copy the files into System32. I works without an install.
