Hey folks I fancy getting a DS to play all the mario/zelda/other Nintendo titles that I haven't played yet... Which version of the DS should I look at? Is it worth paying the extra for an XL?
Do you want a big screen? Get the XL, all variants of the 3DS are essentially the same (cept the 2DS which does not have 3D). They all have the same OS.
Thanks guys. I'm actually really tempted to buy an old original DS or DS Lite---the thought being that if I do that I can work my way through all the DS (And even some GBA) games I haven't played, then at somepoint upgrade to a 3DS XL for all the newer titles. Hmm.
I have a Blue 3ds XL in good nick with Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon Y i'd like to shift as I dont use any more.
Not sure what Cei thinks but, the main issue is it does not have a 3D display (can play all 3DS games still). The 2DS was made for Kiddies as the 3D affect is not good on the younger ones eyes.
The 3DS can play older DS games as well as 3DS Edit : just noticed that you also mentioned GBA games as well
I can live without the 3D, but it's the horrific non-folding wedge design I can't stand. It looks awful, the screens are exposed to scratches and it's too fat. As an aside I may have a white DS Lite kicking round somewhere that is going spare. Last time I checked we had two DS Lites, a DSi and a 3DXL, so I'm sure if I can find it one can go. There's even a GBA SP...
Ohhh, GBA games, cant recall off the top of my head if the XL has the slot for that? I know the 2DS dont. I think the reason the 2DS is flat is due to kids breaking the folding mechanisms.
