Hello you guys. First of all, sorry for the bad english, but portuguese modder here, so it'll have to do... Hope you understand... Being a visitor of this forum a long time ago, i've seen very good projects here. I myself have done a few little things, not worth to post here, but now it's time to post my last project, i think this one is worthy... No more delays, the object is a Coolermaster Stacker Silver (it will be black), to house my 7 hdds(1x80, 2x120, 2x160,2x200), 3 optical drives, some 120mm revoltec red fans, PIV 3,06Ghz, 2x512 ddr ram, asus mb, fx 5200 128mb,2x 400w psu, it'll be file/media server. Comments in this thread, please Project Comments In this last picture you can see a part of the moding dog... Just one thing, i started a while ago, so, until a certain point the updater will be fast, but then will then slow a bit.
Project:RedStak New Photos Host 1 November Hi you guys, just posting this discussion thread about my project for your comments. All critics are welcome, good and bad... Project Log
Fase 2 Some painting... Yes, i know, it´s a ghetto way for painting, but it works... The results, sorry for the bad quality, but my cam only works well outdoors Believe the paintwork is good, the color is black mate That coolermaster fan is going out...
Fase 3 - Top Now on with the top. If you now the Stacker, her top has a fan of 80mm. Well this case will have only 120mm fans, so... with mask tape to protect... By now you can see my plans for the top. I will eliminate that dome thing of coolermaster. The 120 blowhole, it had to be like this, because of the distance to the psu cage that i want to mantain, but it will be "sealthed"... The corners of the acrilic covers rounded... Maybe later i can post another update, will see... I would apreciate some feedback in the Comments thread, the link is at the top. Tell me what you think... Project comments
The blowhole What do you think? I don't like much... A litle better...But i don't know if it'll be like this so for now i won't finish it yet. General view and with the screws I still don´t have any comments, is the project really bad???
Another One Here goes The deadly weapon (and at last a good picture) Some acrilics, sorry couldn't focus this time... Still waiting some comments
ok being the nice person i am i will post the first comment, yes it is looking really nice now, i like the colour perspex you have gone for and i think it will make a very different look to a lot of mods at the moment, theres some very clean work going on in this mod, Keep the pics coming
I like it . Not too sure on the Matte black exterior though, as i think there may be a little too much matte black. It needs to be a contrast to the interior imho.
I dunno, TMM...when you add it to the pretty color of that perspex, it looks nice. We may have to wait for the final to see exactly how well it ties, but I can see where he's going with this. Great job so far, I really like the original fan-grill ideas. I am worried a bit about airflow, though...
Love the colour of the perspex, mate. Good choice. The plexi-grill holes don't look at all bad, but they are kinda restrictive. An idea (if you have the patience) - keep the existing pattern, but add a few very thin slots between the 'blades'.
Right Panel The right panel with the ventilation holes for the crossflowfan (wich i don't have or want) still without paint... The plan Acrilic with corners rounded, just sitting there... Holes marks to atach the acrilic at the right panel It will have some standoffs to give him some distance of the panel, for airflow purposes.
Left Panel Now it's time for the left panel. The cuts, all with dremel, 5 normal cutting discs used Still needs some filling... The idea, it needs also some filling in the round corners With bolts, missing 4, to give it more estability
I like how you're taking this so far, the mounted covers and sheilds in threes. One thing to note however, drop a project link and comment link into your sig, and enter yourself into AC Ryan's Contest - keep us updated on this one!
