The last 2 CoD games have been poor in comparison to CoD 4 so this must be really bad. I think I'll pass on it.

I was really looking forward to this game when I first heard about it. I was envisioning something akin to a sandbox / fps, something along the lines of stalker in layout and feel with endless scope for proper underground, hit and run resistance fighting, something a bit different to the samey fps games we seem to see all the time now.

As multiplayer just doesn't hold any interest for me and the fact that the single player side is only 3 hours long, I don't think I will even get it on sale now, shame really as it could have een good.

I'm actually enjoying the game on SP....Each to their own.

Same here, shame as the first footage I seen of this looked good.

:hehe: Games I anticipate turn out not so good & games I take no notice of turn out fairly awesome .

I bought it and completed the singleplayer on the same day. I was disappointed.

The story had ALOT of promise. Ive never seen anyone frak up a decent franchise so much on its first outing.

Nice review. I remember seeing the original teaser videos and being under-whelmed, nothing i've seen since then has persuaded me that it might be a good game. The multiplayer looks like a BFBC2 wannabe that ends up being a poor mans COD.

It's really a shame as I've got 45 minutes in SP and about an hour in MP... the opening scene is one of the most plausible and "deep" intro for a shooter since maybe Half Life 1 (for me). SP is absolute crap. MP... When it works (half the time the game doesn't realise the host has left and you just run around watching zombies zerg into walls) well just doesn't work for me. I almost wish I'd gotten it on a console, at least then I could trade it in.

the game has bigger problems than a short and crap SP.
Like the fact you down load any thing fron 4 gig to 9 gig fron steam even if you have the disk.
Then it has MP issues with BT home hubs and tompson routers that stop you playing on line.
Giving the "zombies zerg into walls" game described above.
    Nice idea , bad game.

We give good reviews too. We've given multiple 10/10s of the years, assembled a hall of fame and praised many...

Ah, but what am I talking about? Whenever we fairly laud something then we get told we're wrong on that front too, or accused of having sold out. Whether we damn or praise, we're clearly always wrong and it's utterly impossible that we might just be providing our opinions as honestly and open as we can.

Ah ...I was so looking forward to this one. Still, I've just got BC2 from Play.com @£10+freep&p so maybe in 6months.

You know this was going to be a poor game based on the amount of marketing money they were pumping into it.

Don't mind them Joe. Just do your thing.

I personally like the reviews on here (funny and reasonably unbiased).
If I want a second opinion I waltz over to another site and take a look there. Why insult the writers ?
If you don't like the material here why read it and then complain?

I understand that if you like a site and think that the quality has dropped you may want to voice opinions, but why say things like :"bit-tech sold out" when they voice a different opinion than anyone else or than your own ?

If you don't want someone's opinion, why read their opinion?

    I don't get it...

Was enthralled by the very beginning of the game (the crying kid got me) and was quite happy with the first level but then later, as stated just got bored of the same old, go stand behind that wall and kill everything, now go stand behind that car and kill everything, rinse and repeat.
