Anything with orcs & trolls Any RTS Any MMORPG Any fantasy cack (Mists of Pandaris etc, in fact, anything with the word mist in it.) Anything like Guild Wars, in fact any game without an end is pretty much like a computer version of Eastenders) Any game that would have been panned in the Spectrum days i.e. that recent bag of shite so and so was alone. Then stay alone you knobjockey! So much so, that when I come across an article in a magazine with anything related to the above, screcccceccchhhh, next page!
For some reason, most RTS games. Games like Starcraft. Which is weird because I play competitive Dota. MMO's. My god they all look so boring. Most of my buddies play MMO's so I get a chance to watch them. Aoin, Rift, WoW, GW2. I just watch them do the same things in every game, and to top it off they drop monthly fees on them.
Most MMOs (Though Eve does appeal to me) Most RTSs which is odd because one of my favorite games when younger was Age of Empires. And just about all sports games fail to hold my attention.
Platform games (jumping over stuff and collecting thing). I played them to death in the 80's! Diablo/Torchlight/Path of Exile type games - I have played them all recently and find them incredibly boring. Mindless combo based games (eg. Castlemania Lord of Shadows) - again I just find them boring. Most games with 'Boss Fights'.
Any MMORPG Any TPS (I HATE HATE HATE THEM) Music Sports Life/Business Sims (vehicle sims generally rock)
Because starcraft isn't an RTS game. It's a glorified game of rock paper scissors and who clicks faster, which is why I like dota My sentiments exactly, but the key factor to enjoying these types of games is immersion and social interaction. Good music, artwork, and story are a bonus.
Hmmm, ill try most things. Fighting games are a no no i must say. but i normally give things a try and sometimes surprise myself.
Most RPGs don't really do it for me, but fighting and MMOs are the two genres I really can't bring myself to play.
this. However I did get pressured into buying Diablo III and I rather enjoy playing it. WoW though.. sod that.
-RTS. There have been some that I've really enjoyed but it's rare, and that's usually just in singleplayer. -Any type of sport game. -Platformers. Like Jedra I've played enough (though not so far back!). -I used to love MMOs and would always have one active, but recently the genre as a whole has lost its appeal. Mainly in that every dev and their mother has tried to get into the genre and spoiled it.
Beat em up games I just can't get my head around all the stupid combos, which also means I am rubbish at Devil may cry, which I really wish I could play. When I watch my friends play it just think WOW that looks ****ing insane! Also MMO's suck, yeah lets play a game which is really boring!
Indie/casual, apart from minecraft. I dunno why. Also, I've never been any good at fighting games. I've played every other genre extensively at some point, but not fighting games which I sort of lament.
