Ok this is going to be a short mod thread as I recieved my brand new Mach 2 GT prometeia from Phil at extremeprometeia.com. Sorry but he does great service so I figure I cant get in trouble for one plug Ok on with the show the aim is to build a duel headed prometeia unit for me to play with on the long weekend I am using the standard head on the cpu only because I like the simple mounting , I could have gone the chilly1 head option as I have a couple of them too
Last pic was of the new unit this is some of the unit after I attacked it I would have done the photo's from work but cant get into my ftp server from there loool strip
I am going to miss a few steps here like connecting the duel cap tubes up but here it is with the head cut oooof
wow thats quite cool....always wondered what was in those things....looks jus like whats in the back of a fridge is that all it is? works jus like a fridge except removes more energy (thus making it colder)
Yeah it has a radiator type thing called a condenser and the other end is a block called an evaperator which depending on the gas and various other things gets down to -40 or so
Yeah but your posting times give away the fact that is wasn't. So does the lack of comments inbetween posts.
Ok sorry guys I could have spread it out I will try tomorrow when I get in to spread it oot as I said it will be a short project as I want it home for the weekend subzero gcard hmmmmmmmm
dont remind me about evapourators and condensers...ive just handed in a thermo report analysing a refrigerating system. it had a throttle valve in it so working out the enthalpy's of R134a at various points got confusing...ive never done so much interpolation ever...glad to see the back of it lol
Back to work I have both heads on and the system has been vacced down over night so there is no moisture left in the system, I am going to start redressing and re insulating the system today
hmm this could be interesting. ** goes to chat to his uncle who owns the refridgeration (sp?) company **
Initial testing no load using a k type contact probe I am getting around -50 degrees C per head pics to follow later tonight
How I fitted them And one does come out on an angle that was done on purpose as it is for the gpu cap tube Insulating
