Hi people, My mate has to work with macs at uni but uses windows at home and need to transfer videos from home yo uni. He's external hard drive is formated to nsf? The mac format, but windows doesn't see it he has some software (not sure what it's called) but it doesn't always work so what software cam you recommend? For windows as he can install software at uni. Thanks Sent from Bittech Android app
Mac format is HSF+. http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/3369574/how-read-mac-os-hfs-drives-in-windows-for-free/ Any good?
Right either will need to use something like HSFexplorer, or copy off all the data on the disk and reformat it with exFAT. Personally I would rather use a universal disk format as then can use it on anything without having to install any additional software.
Depending on the size of the videos and your connection speed, a cloud solution (e.g. Dropbox) might work for you. I've used it to transfer some files between computers; I use a Mac at work and Windows at home. It works pretty well.
so mac supports exfat? I didn't know that. he doesn't have great internet so that would be pointless so if exfat works with mac I will tell him to do that
