In-Win tones down the plastic for its latest budget chassis, but is it any good?

I don't understand case designers.
It comes with dust-filters, but at the same time half the side panel is open without a filter, letting in dust and letting noise out.

 

Any case with a side window/fan is an immediate no for me personally.

 

It's an In-WIn Mana 137 with a face lift and a 30% price hike.

+1 on the gaping side panel with no blanking plate or filters.

Our tests comprehensively proved that the side fan was the single most effective for fan configurations of four or less.

 

Yea i agree for a out of the box setup a side fan would be best, although sometimes with a little modding you can get better cooling, it all depends on the case and what your willing to change,

 

From personal experience, side panel fans definitely make a measurable difference in GPU cooling especially in an SLI configuration. While plexi-glass side panels show off the guts nicely, I prefer being able to mount a side panel fan.

A buddy of mine is going to replace the stock coolers on my old 550s soon and I'm curious to see what the temps are like on those once he's got it up and running. Seems like I've gone as far as I can with fan cooling without replacing the stock coolers on my 660s. I went from an Antec Three Hundred to a HAF 922 and it definitely made a big difference with the larger fans. I've got two 200mm fans pushing and a 120mm and a 200mm pulling air out right now.

 

Correct as that may be, an unfiltered side fan negates all other filters.
